Charles J. O'Rourke named regional V.P.-Oregon and Alaska

O'Rourke, who has 27 years of real estate experience, started with First American's Portland, Ore., office in 1975 as sales manager. Ten years later he was promoted to county manager of the Vancouver, Wash., office. In 1993, O'Rourke returned to the Portland office as senior vice president-state sales manager, a position he held for two years until being named to his current position of president of First American Title Company of Oregon and state manager. Prior to joining First American, O'Rourke sold real estate in Portland as well as owned and operated a real estate school.
O'Rourke holds a bachelor of science degree in economics from Portland State University. He is actively involved with several professional and civic organizations in Portland, Ore., including the Children's Museum, for which he serves as a member of the Capital Committee. In addition, he is on the boards of directors for the Oregon State Home Builders Association, the State of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and Crossroads Alternative School.
A native of Oregon, O'Rourke lives in the city of West Linn with his wife, Julie. The couple has three grown children and three grandchildren.
