Harland L. Miller III named vice president-state manager and Counsel for First ...


February 3, 1999, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation's largest title insurers, announced today that Harland L. Miller III has been named vice president-state manager and counsel for the company's Vermont operations. Working out of the Burlington, Vt., office, Miller will be responsible for legal underwriting and claims management.

Miller joined First American as state counsel for the Burlington, Vt., office in 1991. Prior to joining the company, Miller worked in private practice with Kissell & Massucco, where he specialized in real estate law.

Miller holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Hampden-Sydney College and a juris doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law, both in Virginia.

Miller currently serves on the board of trustees for the Williston Federated Church in Williston, Vt. Born in Long Branch, N.J., Miller resides in Williston, with his wife, Angela and their two sons.
