Peter M. Zuk named vice president-special projects for First American Title ...

February 3, 1999, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation's largest title insurers, announced today that Peter M. Zuk has been named vice president-special projects for the company's Vermont operations. Working out of the state's Burlington office, Zuk will be responsible for special projects throughout the Northern New England region.

Zuk has 15 years of experience in the title industry, having started as a searcher in the oil and gas department of a Bakersfield, Calif., title company in 1984. Two years later, Zuk was hired as a searcher for another title company in the same city, where he remained for a year until accepting a position as sales representative with First American's Rutland, Vt., office. In 1991, Zuk was promoted to assistant vice president, and two years later, to vice president, his most recent position.

Zuk, who attended the University of Vermont, is a current member of the Homebuilders Association of Northern Vermont, where he serves on the board of directors and as chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee. Zuk, who has lived most of his life in Vermont, resides in the city of Burlington.
