Douglas E. Otmar named vice president-county manager for First American Title

Otmar, who has 19 years of title industry experience, started with First American as a title searcher with the Salinas, Calif., office in 1980. A year later, he was promoted to escrow assistant for both the Carmel and Monterey, Calif., offices, where he became escrow officer in 1984. Otmar was named branch manager of the Monterey, Calif., office in 1994 and of the Salinas, Calif., office in 1997, his most recent position.
Otmar holds a bachelor of science degree in business and public administration from California State University, Fresno. He serves on the board of directors for the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Monterey Pacheco Club.
Born in Palmer, Alaska, Otmar is a longtime resident of California. He and his wife, Debbie, live in the city of Salinas with their daughter, Amanda, and their son, Christopher.
