First American Names Curt Caspersen EVP and Head of National Lenders Services
January 20, 2000, SANTA ANA, Calif.
Caspersen, who will continue to serve as national sales manager for First American Real Estate Information Services, will now oversee the National Lenders Advantage division of First American Title Insurance Company and work to strengthen the company's cross-selling initiatives.
The appointment of Caspersen to this newly created position furthers First American's push to offer one-stop shopping services to the company's national mortgage lending clients. It also strengthens First American's ability to cross market its products and services through coordinated sales efforts between the title and information services companies.
"The National Lenders Advantage division was developed to make it more convenient for high-volume lenders doing business in multiple states to access all the products and services they need from a single source," said Caspersen. "By creating a centralized point of contact for mortgage lenders, our electronic infrastructure allows us to take and place orders seamlessly through First American's network of direct and agency operations nationwide.
"Unifying our national title and information services efforts also gives us the ability to streamline the ordering process for our customers and allows us to leverage existing relationships to introduce new product lines."
Since joining the company in 1986, Caspersen has served in numerous sales and management positions with First American. In 1988 he was named sales manager for the state of Oregon. Caspersen was appointed national marketing director for First American Title in 1993, and he became the national sales manager for First American Real Estate Information Services in 1996. In his latest role, he will be working out of the company's new home office headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif.
Caspersen earned a master's degree in business management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a master's in psychology from San Diego State University, and Bachelor of Science degrees in both biology and psychology from the University of Colorado. Born in Portland, Ore., Caspersen has lived in California for the past nine years and currently resides in San Diego with his wife, Coleen.
