Gary A. Wangberg Named RVP-California Agencies

Gary, a 38-year veteran of the title industry, started with First American Title Company of Sonoma County, Calif., in 1972. Two years later, he was promoted to vice president for First American's Los Angeles office, where he remained for eight years until transferring to the company's Salinas office. In 1985, Gary was named manager for the company's San Francisco operations, a position he held until being named vice president-county manager of Santa Cruz and Monterey, his most recent position.
Born in Nebraska, Gary resides in Salinas, Calif., with his wife, Mary Lou. The couple has a grown daughter.
Don started with First American in 1962 and was named president of First American Title Company of Sacramento in 1967, a position he held for four years. In 1969, Don was appointed to the additional position of regional vice president for the parent company's Northern California operations, a position he held until being promoted to oversee First American's California agency operations.
Don attended California State University, Fresno and has taught as a guest lecturer on legal descriptions and land titles for the University of California's extension school. He also served as past-president for the California Land Title Association, for which he also served on the board of governors. Don currently serves as chairman of the board for the company's subsidiary, First Security Thrift. He is also a member and past-president of the Rotary Club of Carmichael, Calif., and has served on the boards of several civic and charitable organizations in addition to his current involvement on the boards of directors of four corporations.
Don, a longtime resident of California, was born in Yakima, Wash. He and his wife, Bonnie, live in Fair Oaks, Calif. The couple has three children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
