ELIZABETH M. BRANDON NAMED VICE PRESIDENT-ADMINISTRATION FOR THE FIRST AMERICAN CORPORATION

The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF), the nation’s leading, diversified provider of business information and related products and services, today announced that Elizabeth M. Brandon has been named vice president-administration.
Brandon, who has 15 years of experience in benefit plan design, administration and compliance, will assume responsibility for the company’s employee benefit programs, including all qualified and nonqualified retirement, health and welfare, and stock programs. She also has been charged with developing and implementing human resources policies and procedures and managing strategic vendor relationships.
Brandon joined First American’s subsidiary, First American Trust, in 1996, and was named vice president a year later. In 1999, she was named director of special projects for The First American Corporation and was then promoted to assistant vice president of special projects in January 2001. Since joining the special projects team, Brandon has been instrumental in improving the administration of First American’s health and retirement benefit plans and managing the project to outsource the company’s retirement plan.
Brandon’s professional activities include serving on the board of directors of the Western Pension Benefits Conference. She also is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and an associate in the American Society of Pension Actuaries, where she is a candidate to receive designation as a Qualified 401(k) Administrator.
A California native, Brandon currently lives in Irvine with her husband and daughter. She is actively involved in the local community where she serves on the board of directors for the Irvine Police Department Community Police Academy Alumni Association. She also is a volunteer with Human Options in Irvine.
