FIRST AMERICAN eAPPRAISEIT NAMES ANTHONY MERLO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, SALES AND MARKETING

First American eAppraiseIT, a service of The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF) family of companies, today announced the appointment of Anthony R. Merlo as senior vice president of sales and marketing.
In his most recent position, Merlo served as vice president of the Eastern region with First American eAppraiseIT. In his new position, Merlo will oversee First American eAppraiseIT’s national sales and marketing efforts as well as eAppraiseIT.com’s account management group.
Bringing more than 17 years of mortgage banking experience, Merlo joined First American’s largest subsidiary, First American Title Insurance Company, in 1995 as a vice president and regional manager. He later moved to First American’s Mortgage Information Services Group in 1999, as an assistant vice president within the strategic sales division.

Merlo, who attended Pennsylvania State University, now resides in the San Diego area with his wife and three children.
