FIRST AMERICAN LENDERS ADVANTAGE ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENTS TO THREE KEY POSITIONS
July 18, 2001, SANTA ANA, Calif.
First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest title insurers, today announced several key appointments within its Lenders Advantage division. The appointments include the naming of David Kuritar as senior vice president of the division, Kathy J. Mallette as vice president and Michele W. Jorgensen as vice president and national operations manager.
Kuritar, who is based in Grand Rapids, Mich., will oversee the national closing infrastructure of First American Lenders Advantage. He also will continue to maintain responsibility for the national order center based in Grand Rapids.
Kuritar brings more than 15 years of industry experience to his new position. Upon joining First American as assistant vice president in 1996, Kuritar played a pivotal role in the creation of the Lenders Advantage regional center in Grand Rapids. He was promoted to vice president of national Lenders Advantage in 2000.
Kuritar earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Liberty University in Virginia and a master’s degree in business from Western Michigan University. He has served on the board of governors of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association and as president of the Western Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association. He also was named 1993 Affiliate of the Year by the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors™.
A native of Michigan, he currently resides in Ada with his wife, Jenny, and their three children.
Mallette, who is based in Irvine, Calif., will assume responsibility for managing the division’s California national settlement center. A seasoned veteran, she brings more than 30 years of experience in the escrow, abstract and title industries.
Mallette and her husband, Leo, have homes in Costa Mesa and Rancho Mirage, Calif. They have one grown daughter and are expecting their first grandchild next month.
Jorgensen, who is based in Lewisville, Texas, manages the division’s escrow centers, focusing on workflow and processes. She has extensive experience in all facets of the title industry, particularly in operations and workflow. Prior to joining First American, she spent several years with a California-based title agency where she helped establish their national division. In 1998, Jorgensen and two partners formed their own national agency, which was licensed in 30 states.
Jorgensen and her husband Eric have one child and reside in Allen, Texas.
