FIRST AMERICAN TITLE INSURANCE COMPANY NAMES CHIP CARMER SANTA CLARA COUNTY DIVISION MANAGER

First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest title insurers, today announced that it has promoted Chip Carmer to the position of vice president and division manager for Santa Clara County, Calif. In his new position, Carmer will oversee all personnel and operational matters for the Santa Clara County division of First American Title Guaranty Company.
Carmer, a 20-year veteran of the title industry, joined First American in 1993 as a division president in Corpus Christi, Texas. He most recently served as vice president and national accounts manager with First American Title’s Phoenix office.
Originally from Centerville, Iowa, Carmer earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Carmer, who currently resides in Phoenix with his wife, Jennifer, and two children, will relocate to San Jose, Calif., to assume his new role.
