FIRST AMERICAN TITLE NAMES ALAN K. MCCALL STATE COUNSEL FOR FLORIDA

First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest title insurers and a member of The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF) family of companies, today announced the appointment of Alan K. McCall as state counsel for Florida.
McCall’s responsibilities include responding to questions from First American’s Florida offices and agents, drafting and updating underwriting bulletins, handling claims and producing educational programs and seminars for the company’s Florida agents. He will work with location and agency managers and report to John LaJoie, vice president and regional counsel for First American Title Insurance Company. McCall will work out of the Winter Park, Fla., office of First American.
Prior to joining First American, McCall gained more than 25 years of experience in the title industry serving as vice president and associate regional counsel and vice president and Florida division counsel for other major title insurance underwriters.
McCall has been chairman of the Florida Land Title Association Forms Committee since 1999. He is currently a member of the Florida Bar Real Property Problems Study Committee and the Executive Council of the Real Property Section of the Florida Bar. McCall is the father of three children and lives in Lake Mary, Fla., with his wife.
