FIRST AMERICAN NAMES ANAND NALLATHAMBI PRESIDENT OF CONSUMER INFORMATION GROUP
March 28, 2001, SANTA ANA, Calif.
The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF), the nation’s leading, diversified provider of business information and related products and services, today announced that Anand K. Nallathambi has been named president of the company’s consumer information group.
The appointment of Nallathambi comes as Donald A. Robert, the current consumer information group president, leaves the company to join First American’s partner, Experian, as president of their information solutions business unit, which is responsible for the core consumer credit organization.
“Anand has a great deal of experience in the consumer services arena and we look forward to his continued guidance in one of our fastest-growing segments,” said Parker S. Kennedy, president of The First American Corporation. “Although Don’s daily involvement will be missed, we are very excited about the unique opportunities this presents for building an even-stronger relationship between the credit operations of our two companies.”
In addition to his new role as president of the consumer information group, Nallathambi will continue to serve as president of First American Credco, a position he has held since 1999. Nallathambi joined First American with the company’s 1995 acquisition of Credco. Since then, he has served as senior vice president of strategic and new business development for First American Real Estate Information Services, Inc., and in 1996, Nallathambi was appointed as president of First American Appraisal Services. Prior to joining Credco in 1991, Nallathambi served as vice president managing mergers and acquisitions for the Bancard division of First Interstate Bank.
Nallathambi received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Loyola University in Madras, India. He earned a master’s degree in finance and marketing from California Lutheran University and has professional designations in systems analysis and international business from the University of California at Los Angeles.
