FIRST AMERICAN NAMES THEODORE H. SPRINK PRESIDENT OF UCC INSURANCE DIVISION

The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF), the nation’s leading, diversified provider of business information and related products and services, today announced that Theodore H. Sprink has been named president of the company’s UCC Insurance Division.
In this new role, Sprink will assume responsibility for the development and management of First American’s EAGLE 9TM UCC Insurance Program. This program provides commercial lenders with lien perfection and priority insurance coverage for financing transactions secured by non-real estate assets and provides lenders the opportunity to outsource UCC search, document preparation, filing and tracking functions.
Sprink initially joined First American in 1998 as national director of affinity marketing. He has extensive experience in commercial and real estate banking, as well as the credit industry. His prior experience includes a number of years at California-based HomeFed Bank, where he served first as senior vice president and later as chief executive officer of two wholly owned real estate development subsidiaries. He gained credit experience working for the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, Torrey Pines Bank and the National Association of Credit Management. He also served as director of strategic alliances for a Southern California-based title insurance company.
Sprink is an active participant in the Commercial Finance Association, the American Bankers Association, the California Bankers Association and the American Marketing Association. He also was a founding board member of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum, a work-study group comprised of bankers and lawyers.
A graduate of San Diego State University’s School of Business, Sprink earned a bachelor’s degree in management. He and his wife of 23 years, Joy, currently reside in La Costa with their two children.
