FIRST AMERICAN TITLE NAMES JOHN S. CHRISTIANSEN DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL RESIDENTIAL SERVICES


May 2, 2002, SANTA ANA, Calif.

First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest title insurers, today announced that John S. Christiansen has been named senior vice president and director of National Residential Services.

In his new role, Christiansen will be responsible for strengthening the company’s relationships with the leading national and regional real estate brokerages and assisting them with the implementation of the company’s technology strategies. He also will be responsible for identifying and implementing joint venture and underwriting relationships.

Christiansen joined the company in 1992 when he became sales manager for the company’s operations in Maricopa County, Ariz. In 1994, he was named Maricopa County operations manager, where he served until 1996, when he was promoted to Arizona division president and state manager. In 2000, he assumed his most recent position as regional vice president with responsibility for Arizona, Nevada and Utah. 

Over the years, Christiansen has been involved with a number of civic organizations, including the Leadership Workshop Foundation, the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and the Arizona Chamber of Commerce.

Christiansen holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from the University of Washington in Seattle and a certificate in commercial project management and development from the University of California, Irvine. He currently lives in Scottsdale, Ariz., with his wife, Leslie, and their two daughters.
