Frances L. Buerman Promoted to President of First American Exchange Corporation of California

First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest title insurers, today announced that Frances L. Buerman has been promoted to president of its wholly owned subsidiary, First American Exchange Corporation of California, a qualified intermediary for 1031 tax-deferred exchanges of like-kind investment property. She will now oversee business development in Southern California and Hawaii.
Buerman, who had previously served as vice president and branch manager of the company’s San Diego office, brings more than 16 years of experience in escrow and exchange operations to her new position. Prior to joining First American in 2000, she managed the exchange department for another Southern California-based exchange company.
A graduate of the University of San Diego’s paralegal program, Buerman also is a Certified Commercial Investment Member. She is actively involved in a number of professional organizations and currently serves on the membership committee for Commercial Real Estate Women. She also is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, San Diego County Commercial Association of REALTORS® and the San Diego County Escrow Association.
Buerman currently resides in San Diego.
