Ryan E. Byrne, Tammy C. Bridges and Scarlet Winchester to Assume Management Duties

November 27, 2002, MEMPHIS, Tenn.

Memphis Title Company, a subsidiary of First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest title insurers, today announced that Richard S. McNeese will retire at the end of December. McNeese, who founded the company in 1990 as Southern Escrow Title Company, plans to relocate to Florida, but will continue to play a vital role in the company’s operations.

Replacing McNeese are Ryan E. Byrne, who has been named general manager and will assume the responsibilities as president on Jan. 1, 2003; Tammy C. Bridges, who will assume duties as escrow operations manager; and Scarlet Winchester, who has joined the company as director of customer relations.

Byrne, who has served as senior associate attorney since joining Memphis Title six years ago, also is an associate with McNeese McNeese Law Firm. He holds a juris doctor from the University of Mississippi and is licensed to practice law in Mississippi and Tennessee.

Bridges, a 20-year veteran of the title industry, has been with Memphis Title for 10 years. She has served as office manager since 1994.

Winchester comes to Memphis Title following eight years with Crye-Leike Realtors where she was vice president and broker. A Realtor® for 13 years, she is actively involved with the Memphis Area Association of Realtors and currently serves on that organization’s board of directors.

Following his retirement, McNeese’s role will shift to an advisory capacity. “Richard’s continued involvement will ensure a smooth transition,” Byrne commented. “We are committed to bringing our customers the same level of exemplary service they have come to expect.”
