Albert J. Lagomarsino Named Senior Vice President and Director of California Agency Division

First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest title insurers, today announced that Albert J. Lagomarsino has been named senior vice president and director of the company’s California Agency Division. He has assumed leadership of the division following the retirement of Gary A. Wangberg, who had been with First American for 30 years.
A veteran in the title industry, Lagomarsino’s tenure with First American spans more than 42 years. He has extensive experience in title, escrow and sales and has held numerous positions throughout his career. He was named president and manager of the company’s San Francisco division in 1971. Six years later he was named Northern California regional vice president for First American Title Insurance Company, then in June 2000 was named Northern California state manager and administrative regional vice president.
Lagomarsino has been actively involved in a number of professional and civic organizations. He currently serves on the American Land Title Association’s Membership and Organization Committee. He also is a member of the Board of Governors of the California Land Title Association (CLTA) and has held a number of leadership positions within that organization. He served as CLTA’s president during the 1998-1999 year, and also has held the positions of first vice president, second vice president and treasurer. Additionally, he is a former member of the Industry Relations and Department of Insurance Liaison committees, and currently serves on the Title Industry Committee. Lagomarsino also is a member of the board of directors for First American Title Company of Mendocino County.
A California native, Lagomarsino currently resides in Atherton. He and his wife, Happy, have three daughters and seven grandchildren.
