Jason Y. Chun Named Ventura County Manager For First American Title Insurance Company

April 29, 2003, SANTA ANA, Calif.

First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest title insurers, today announced that Jason Y. Chun has been named Ventura County manager.

Chun joined First American in 1999 as associate counsel in the National Legal Department at the company’s home office in Santa Ana, Calif. In 2001, he was promoted to vice president and regional counsel, a position that included responsibilities for claims, underwriting, escrow, secured transactions and contracts, as well as corporate and general in-house counsel duties for Los Angeles and Ventura counties. He also served as corporate secretary and was a member of the board of directors of the company’s subsidiary, First American Exchange Corporation of California.

Chun earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993 and was the speaker at the commencement ceremonies. He went on to earn a juris doctor from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1998 and was admitted to the State Bar of California that same year. Also a member of the American and Los Angeles Bar Associations, Chun has served as a speaker for the Continuing Education of the Bar seminar on commercial transactions. He also has volunteered with the Korean American Bar Association’s monthly legal clinic that provides free legal advice to low-income members of the community and is a member of the Community Church of Glendale.

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Chun currently resides in Oxnard.
