Pablo Wong Appointed Director of Diversity Marketing for First American Title's Bay Area Region

September 4, 2003, SAN JOSE, Calif.

First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest title insurers, today announced that Pablo Wong has been appointed director of diversity marketing for the Bay Area region. In this new position, Wong will be responsible for expanding the company’s marketing programs to address the needs of customers in the Bay Area’s emerging markets, initially focusing on the Hispanic and Asian communities.

Prior to joining First American, Wong was the community affairs manager for AAA-California State Automobile Association. His background also includes stints as deputy director for the Governor’s Office of Community Relations and as an industry and consumer liaison for the California Department of Real Estate.

Wong is actively involved in a number of community and professional organizations. In October 2002, he received a presidential appointment to the Community Development Advisory Board in Washington D.C. He also has served on the board of directors for Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco since 2002 and also is a past president of Family Services Agency of San Francisco and a former board member of the San Francisco Association of Realtors.

Wong earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Hawaii and also is licensed as a real estate broker. A native of Managua, Nicaragua, Wong currently lives in San Francisco with his wife, Khena, and their 2-year-old son, Paul-Jose.
