Paul W. Knutson Promoted to Vice President for The First American Corporation

The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF), the nation’s largest data provider, today announced that Paul W. Knutson has been promoted to vice president.
Knutson, who currently serves as controller, initially joined First American in 1988 as a staff auditor for the company’s largest subsidiary, First American Title Insurance Company. He was promoted to senior financial analyst a year later, then to vice president and assistant controller in 1993. In 1998, Knutson was promoted to controller for First American Title, and in 2001 was named controller for the holding company.
Currently a resident of Dana Point, Calif., Knutson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
