First American Title Insurance Company, one of the nation’s largest title insurers and a member of The First American Corporation family of companies, today announced the acquisition of Tims Ford Title & Escrow, Inc., of Winchester, Tenn. Terms of the transaction, which closed Jan. 1, 2005, were not disclosed.
Established in 1995, Tims Ford Title has served the needs of homeowners and real estate professionals in the Winchester area for more than a decade. Under the leadership of owner/operator Rocky Morris, a respected member of the local real estate community with 25 years experience in the title insurance industry, the company has achieved consistent profits as a full service title insurance agency underwritten in part by First American Title. Morris will continue as a sales representative and licensed title agent. Brenda Wells, a long-time Tim’s Ford Title employee, will oversee day-to-day operations at the company.
