FIRST AMERICAN TITLE NAMES GROB EMERGING MARKETS DIRECTOR NW REGION


December 20, 2005, SANTA ANA, Calif.

First American Title Insurance Company today announced that Lance J. Grob has joined the company as emerging markets director for the Northwest region. 

In this new position, Grob will collaborate with other directors across the nation to integrate and develop the company’s regional and corporate emerging markets strategies in the Northwest. He will initially focus on reaching under-served markets in the Seattle area, including African American, Asian American, Hispanic and low- to moderate-income homebuyers. As the program develops within the region, he will incorporate other geographic areas.

“Lance’s unique qualifications, diverse background and previous experience make him a valuable asset as we develop this new position in the Northwest,” said Thomas S. Hartman, regional vice president for First American Title Insurance Company. 

Prior to joining First American, Grob worked in the real estate and airline industries for several years following a teaching position in San Diego. During his tenure with a large real estate company, Grob implemented its first bilingual real estate office. He also spearheaded the company’s first Hispanic initiative, establishing relationships between bilingual real estate professionals and business and community leaders. In addition to his work in the real estate industry, he worked for United Airlines for four years, where he utilized his language and cross-cultural communication skills to provide on-board leadership and coordinate communication between company representatives, ground support services and crew members.

Grob has been actively involved with several professional organizations, including the California, Washington and National Associations of Realtors®; the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals; and as a member of the board of directors for the San Mateo County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Grob holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, with a major in Spanish American Literature, from Arizona State University. He currently resides in Lynnwood, Wash., with his wife, Lydia
