UNITED GENERAL APPOINTS JOE DRUM EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

United General Title Insurance Company, a subsidiary of First American Title Insurance Company, today announced that Joe Drum has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer.
In this new role, Drum will continue to work closely with United General’s national agency department and its field offices in the areas of sales, account management, cross-selling of ancillary services, personnel recruiting and agency set up of multistate, regional and national agents. He also will maintain his current positions as senior vice president for First American Title Insurance Company and enterprise manager for Mercury Companies.
Drum, who has been in the title industry for more than 31 years, has extensive experience in operations and management. Prior to joining First American, Drum was the executive vice president in charge of strategic initiatives for another national underwriter.
