John A. Comery was hired as state counsel for the company. He most recently served as Rhode Island state counsel for another national underwriter and was in a private practice for 15 years, predominately handling real estate conveyance and title. For 10 years, he served as founding officer and president for a high-volume conveyancing firm. In addition to his extensive experience handling underwriting and claim issues, Comery is a member of the Rhode Island Title Standards Committee, the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Bar, the Rhode Island Mortgage Bankers Association and Rhode Island Conveyancers Association.
Comery received his bachelor’s degree in business management and accounting from the University of Rhode Island and his juris doctorate from Suffolk University School of Law in Boston. He is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
