The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF), America’s largest provider of business information, today announced that it will provide a grant of $7,800 from the First American Homeownership Foundation to The Boston New Alliance Task Force, an initiative dedicated to financial education for recent immigrants.
Peter Norden, senior vice president of First American Title Insurance Company, presented the funds to Juan Carlos Ferrufino, Financial Education Committee chairperson for the New Alliance Task Force at First American’s Boston office. The grant will be used to support financial literacy programs provided by nonprofit organizations throughout Massachusetts, including Chelsea Neighborhood Housing Services.
Since 2003, The First American Corporation and its subsidiary companies have led the title insurance and settlement services industry in creating innovative programs to increase low-to-moderate income and minority homeownership nationwide. First American supports qualified organizations with grants and other contributions through the First American Homeownership Foundation, an entity dedicated to increasing homeownership in traditionally under-served communities.

The Boston New Alliance Task Force is a public-private initiative created to promote financial education and develop more responsive and affordable financial services to recent immigrants.
