Amigh Berry and Matthew L. Lichtner Join First American's Trusted Reverse Transactions Division

June 12, 2009, SANTA ANA, Calif.

First American Title Insurance Company announced today that Amigh Berry and Matthew L. Lichtner have been named national accounts directors for the company’s recently launched Trusted Reverse Transactions division. The division specializes exclusively in closing reverse mortgage loans, providing a single point of contact for the nationwide coverage.

In her new role, Berry will oversee the division’s nationwide sales efforts. After beginning her career as a real estate agent, Berry joined First American Title’s San Jose office in 2002 as an escrow officer, then three years later transferred to the company’s affiliate, North American Title Company. Following a brief tenure with Countrywide Home Loans, Berry joined All American Reverse Escrow, where she served as national account manager since May 2008.

A licensed real estate agent and notary public, Berry also is a member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association. She is based in Northern California.

Lichtner, who also serves as national accounts director for the company’s National Lenders Advantage division, will be responsible for the division’s business development and marketing strategy, with a primary focus on developing long-term partnerships with the nation’s top 10 reverse mortgage lenders. Lichtner joined First American in 1997 when he was named vice president, Servicing Sales for First American Real Estate Tax Service, a subsidiary of The First American Corporation. He went on to hold several management positions with the corporation’s Client Relations Group and was promoted to senior vice president and Western Region sales manager in 2006, then to his current position as national account director in January 2008.

Lichtner holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and is actively involved in a number of professional organizations, including the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association, Mortgage Bankers Association of America and the Strategic Account Management Association. He is based at the company’s headquarters in Santa Ana.

The Trusted Reverse Transactions division provides nationwide coverage through its California office, coordinating its services with local First American branches, where required, to provide a seamless solution to national reverse mortgage lenders. In addition to offering a streamlined title insurance product that meets the requirements of a government-insured Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM), the Trusted Reverse Transactions division provides homeowners with convenient signing options, including a fully screened mobile notary for home-based signings or online signing through its secure WebSigning platform.
