John Wheat Named Sales Manager for First American Title's Greater Sacramento Region
August 5, 2009, SANTA ANA, Calif.
First American Title Insurance Company announced today that John Wheat has been promoted to sales manager for the Greater Sacramento region in California. In this new role, Wheat will be responsible for overseeing First American’s sales teams in Sacramento, South Placer, Sutter, Yuba and Yolo counties.
Wheat’s tenure with First American began when he joined the company’s information technology department in 2001. After working as a systems engineer for several years, he took on a new challenge in 2006 when he transitioned to a sales position in South Placer County, and just 12 months later was recognized as Affiliate of the Year by the Placer County Association of Realtors. In early 2008, he was promoted to sales manager for First American’s Central Valley division. Wheat’s background prior to joining First American includes positions in offsite customer management at Pitney Bowes and in the information technology division for Intel Corporation.
A resident of South Yuba County, Wheat is very active in the local community and serves as a paid firefighter and emergency medical technician for Yuba County Fire.
