First American Title Insurance Company's Homebuilder Services Division Announces Paperless Document Delivery

—“Going Green” Initiative Saves Time and Reduces Paper Consumption

April 12, 2012, Santa Ana, Calif.,

First American Title Insurance Company’s Homebuilder Services Division, a leading provider of homebuilder title insurance and closing services, announced today its “Going Green” initiative, which is designed to reduce paper usage and save time through the secure electronic delivery of information.

Through its proprietary technology solution, EAGLEPRO, this group now offers homebuilders and homebuyers the option of paperless delivery of their transaction-related documents. Typically, closing document packets include more than 100 printed pages that are delivered by mail. This paperless option, provided through a secure electronic environment, eliminates the need to print and mail hard copies. Electronic delivery also provides homebuyers with a quick and easy way to review pertinent information and the flexibility to access their documents at anytime.

“We believe that this initiative is the right thing to do for the environment and is in alignment with our homebuilder clients’ efforts to build more energy-efficient homes and reduce environmental waste,” said Joe Tavarez, president of First American Title’s Homebuilder Services Division.  “Additionally, it illustrates our commitment to helping streamline our clients’ processes and reduce costs while providing flexibility for their buyers.”
