Karen Saez

Karen Saez serves as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Western Region of First American’s National Commercial Services division.

Prior to her current position, Karen was the Deputy Director of Corporate Underwriting and Senior Division Underwriting Counsel of the Mortgage Solutions division.

Karen started her career with First American in the San Diego operation where she served in various underwriting and management positions, including Regional Counsel where she handled both claims and underwriting before joining the Corporate Underwriting team in 2006. Karen was awarded one of the 100 Elite Women in the Mortgage Industry in 2015, is a member of the inaugural class of First American’s Women in Leadership where she previously served on the Advisory Board. 

Karen received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego, and her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and is a member of the California State Bar.
