Annie Malave, Esq.

Annie Malave is a knowledgeable and customer-focused attorney with 11 years of legal and title industry experience. As agency underwriting counsel, Annie provides highly responsive underwriting guidance and support to agents and their customers throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

Before joining First American Title, Annie served as vice president and senior claims counsel for a regional insurance underwriter. Her background also includes serving as claims counsel and underwriting counsel for a national underwriter, associate general counsel for a statewide title company, and title guaranty attorney for the Iowa Finance Authority Title Guaranty Division. Annie’s underwriting and claims experience assist her in accurately analyzing and resolving underwriting issues, and she is also involved in the development and presentation of agency educational seminars.

Annie graduated from Kean University in New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in communications and political science and received her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  She is an active member of the American Land Title Association and serves on the Title Counsel, Native American Lands, and Education committees. In 2018, Annie received the Kansas Title Professional (KTP) designation, which recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience, and dedication required to safely and efficiently transfer real property in the State of Kansas.
