Aaron J. Monahan, Esq.

A knowledgeable and customer-focused title professional with ten years of legal and title experience, Aaron provides support to agents and First American underwriting counsel. He also works closely with members of the underwriting teams to gain key knowledge and skills critical to the success of an underwriter and participates in the creation of educational resources for agents.

Prior to joining First American, Aaron was an attorney in a Massachusetts law firm focused on all aspects of residential and commercial real estate closings. His responsibilities included reviewing title examinations for clearance, drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, drafting deeds, powers of attorney, affidavits, and closing settlement statements.  His background also includes experience serving as a senior underwriting paralegal for a national title insurance underwriter, commercial real estate paralegal and senior paralegal for law firms in Massachusetts.

Aaron graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Criminal Justice and with a minor in History and he received a Juris Doctor from New England Law.  He is a licensed attorney authorized to practice law in Vermont and Massachusetts.
