Amy E. Starrett, Esq.

A knowledgeable and customer-focused professional, Amy serves as VP, National Agency Counsel, and has over a decade of diverse business litigation and title industry experience. She provides underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel, agents, and customers related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies and communicates regulatory and practice changes.

Before joining the National Agency Division in 2021, Amy spent several years as claims counsel for First American Title Insurance Company managing all aspects of title insurance and escrow claims from initial investigation and coverage determination through final resolution. Her background also includes serving as a financial services attorney managing a significant litigation portfolio and representing national banks, mortgage servicers, and other businesses in federal and state courts in a wide variety of high exposure and complex claims. Amy has litigated cases in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels.

Amy graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and received her Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law. She is a member of the California State Bar, California Land Title Association Claims Awareness Committee, Orange County Bar Association, and Chapman Law Alumni Association.
