David Harnishfeger

A knowledgeable and customer-focused professional with over 22 years of title industry experience, David provides highly responsive underwriting guidance and support to agents and their customers throughout Michigan. He offers a well-reasoned and timely analysis of title insurance issues affecting residential and commercial real estate transactions.

David joined First American Title directly out of law school and stays current on changes involving case law and statutes affecting real estate title. He has a deep understanding of the insurance products offered by First American and works closely with the members of the underwriting team to enhance agency relationships and develop training for agents.

David graduated from Bowling green State University with a Bachelor of Arts in business and a minor in environmental studies. He received his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University - Thomas M. Cooley Law School. David is a member of the Real Property Section of the State Bar of Michigan and is a member of the First American Native American Lands Practice Group.
