A knowledgeable and customer-focused professional with over ten years of management, commercial real estate, finance and legal experience, Doug provides highly responsive underwriting guidance and support to assist Delaware agents in facilitating the successful closing of real estate transactions. He also provides counsel and authorization to company personnel, agents, and customers, related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies.

Born in Delaware and raised in Wilmington, Doug is looking forward to reconnecting with the area. He joins First American Title after serving as an attorney advisor for the U.S. Small Business Administration, where he collaborated on all aspects of disaster assistance related to the pandemic. His diverse background includes nine years of entrepreneurial experience as an owner-operator of two popular paint and sip franchise locations. Doug also served as an attorney for the largest owner and operator of private clubs, handling in-house real estate and general corporate matters for more than 150 golf and country clubs, business clubs, and sports clubs. Additionally, he was an attorney for a global law firm based in Dallas representing developers, lenders and property owners in real estate transactions.

Doug graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and is a member of the Bar in Texas and Delaware. Doug is dedicated to using his expertise, knowledge, and problem-solving ability to resolve legal or underwriting issues presented by our valued customers.
