James Harrison Rushton, Esq.

Prior to joining First American Title, Harrison was an attorney for a Columbia, South Carolina law firm and supervised the Real Estate and Foreclosure practice groups, managed inhouse title curative litigation, oversaw loss-mitigation procedures, and drafted and reviewed complex pleadings for foreclosure actions. He also gained a wealth of experience as an associate attorney for two North Carolina law firms where his responsibilities included abstracting and certifying title, overseeing complex legal transactions regarding commercial real estate, representing homeowners associations in debt collection actions, and assisting clients in probate issues, contract disputes and a wide range of real estate-related issues.

Harrison graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts in history and received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar and North Carolina Bar and holds the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement attainable in the Boy Scouts of America Scouting program.
