Julie Angelakos, Esq.

A knowledgeable title professional with over 20 years of residential and commercial underwriting experience, Julie manages and leads the Midwest Agency underwriting teams in Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio, provides timely and efficient approvals of high-liability/high-risk transactions and mentors and grows the skills of underwriters in the region. Additionally, she works closely with state managers to support agency relationships, collaborates with Home Office Underwriting and represents the Company at regional industry events.

Prior to joining First American Title, Julie served as senior underwriter and state counsel for a national underwriter for eight years. She also held positions of attorney title officer and assistant vice president with another national underwriter.  Julie is experienced in complex, multi-state transactions and is a skilled communicator who has lectured extensively on topics related to title insurance and real estate law.

Julie graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She received a Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Healthcare Law from Loyola University. Julie is a member of the American Land Title Association, Illinois Real Estate Lawyer’s Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and sits on the Illinois Land Title Association board.

Her experience, leadership skills and focus on exceptional customer service strengthens agency relationships throughout the Midwest Region and helps make First American Title the most knowledgeable and trusted underwriter in the field.
