James Betson joined First American Title Insurance Company in 2009 and has been in the title industry since 1997. He currently serves as a Regional Underwriter supporting three First American Title National Commercial Services offices.

Prior to this, James served as Title Department Manager and Senior Underwriter for the division’s Denver office for over 10 years. He has managed transactions in over 40 different states and worked as lead underwriter on several billion-dollar deals.

James received a Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Leo University in Computer Information Systems. He also served in the United States Army.He has received the internal 2011 Excellence Award for First American Title National Commercial Services and the People First Award in 2018.

James enjoys skiing, camping, and spending time with his family in the mountains
