A knowledgeable and customer-focused title professional with nine years of industry experience, Jodi provides highly responsive underwriting guidance and support to help agents facilitate the successful closing of real estate transactions.

Jodi joined First American Title in 2021 following nine years with a national underwriter where she most recently served as National Commercial Underwriting Counsel. She also gained experience serving as senior claims counsel, claims counsel and associate claims counsel. Jodi’s responsibilities included advising parties involved in real estate transactions on the resolution of title issues and removal of coverage exceptions, reviewing escrow agreements for appropriate provisions and compliance, underwriting mechanic’s lien coverage for buyers and lenders across the nation, and reviewing entity documentation to confirm seller and borrower authority. She also investigated claims, resolved title issues, conducted legal research in multiple jurisdictions, and mentored attorneys to ensure proper compliance with procedures, laws, and regulations.

Jodi graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law. She is dedicated to using her expertise, knowledge and problem-solving ability to resolve legal or underwriting issues presented by our valued customers.
