Martha serves as Senior Underwriting Counsel and provides highly responsive underwriting guidance and support to our New Hampshire agents. She has a positive and practical approach to issue resolution regardless of the complexity of the transaction.
Prior to joining First American, Martha served as an associate attorney for a prominent New Hampshire law firm. She managed the firm’s Title and Legal Department, including attorneys and paralegals, focusing on residential and commercial real estate transactions. Martha conducted training on title and legal matters, prepared and examined abstracts of title, reviewed commitments and policies, negotiated purchase and sale agreements and coordinated closings in New Hampshire and Massachusetts with lenders, mortgage brokers, real estate agents, buyers, and sellers.
Martha graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and received her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School. She has been a member of the New Hampshire and Massachusetts State Bars since 2008.
