C. Scott Logan joined First American Title in June 2008 as Georgia State Counsel and currently oversees underwriting for transactions facilitated by agents of First American Title throughout the state of Georgia. Scott is a frequent lecturer to attorneys, real estate agents, and lenders in Georgia on issues involving the conveyancing of real property.

Prior to joining First American, Scott was a title agent and real estate practitioner facilitating more than 7,500 residential and commercial real estate transactions during his private practice career. His background also includes serving as in-house counsel for a savings and loan institution, the largest in Georgia at the time. His 32 years of experience allows him to reach a superior level of performance when providing underwriting guidance.

Scott received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina and his Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia. He served on the board of directors of the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association from 2002 until 2012, serving as President in 2007-2008. He served on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia from 2008 through 2014, serving as chair of the Title Standards Subcommittee from 2010 through 2014.
