First American's Fort Dox is an innovative service designed to maximize efficiency and more effectively manage, store and retrieve closed files. Fort Dox is an affordable way to improve business operations by reducing hardcopy documents and the paper handling costs associated with them.

Process Overview:

  • Prepare files for pick-up by completing a file coversheet for each file; place file in box, complete packing list, and tape the box with a copy of the packing list inside each box.
  • Schedule a pick up: File boxes picked up by Fed Ex and delivered for scanning and indexing; we remove files from folders, remove staples and clips prior to scanning.
  • Accessing files: The files will appear in your online account within 10 business days. Easy OCR lookup, print and email delivery with secure access to files in seconds 24/7 from any location.
  • Safety and Billing: Safe and redundant off site storage, disaster protection from hurricanes, fires, flood or theft making it virtually impossible to lose an electronic document. Easy monthly billing. All inclusive per file price.

Q: How do I get a myFirstAm account?

A: To request a myFirstAm account, please select the "Sign Up" link on the sign-in page. Fill out the form and select "Register Now."
If you have a sales rep "Approval Code," enter it, then select "Register Now" to get your username and temporary password via email for instant access.
If you do not have an approval code, select the name of your First American sales representative and then click "Register Now." Your sales rep will follow up on your request.
