Andrew C Turbide

Andrew Turbide serves as Profit Center Manager of the Chicago office of First American Title, National Commercial Services. Andrew oversees a talented staff of over 70 employees that close and insure an extremely high volume of complex real estate transactions yearly.

A seasoned veteran of the title insurance industry, Andrew joined First American in January 2020 as Director of Title and Underwriting Operations, where he implemented a restructuring of the underwriting department to maximize efficiency and productivity. In October 2021, Andrew was promoted to Profit Center Manager with increased management responsibilities overseeing the entire office, including the underwriting, escrow, and sales departments.

Andrew began his career in Boston with a boutique law firm representing plaintiffs and defendants in commercial and business litigation. His responsibilities included handling civil cases in both District and Superior Court, including fraud, breach of contract, creditor’s rights, and construction litigation. In 2011, Andrew transitioned to the title industry, working in the Boston office of a national title insurer’s commercial services division.

Andrew held subsequent positions throughout his career, including Vice President, Senior Underwriting Counsel, and ultimately Commercial Services Manager. Andrew was also a frequent presenter at national underwriting seminars across the country on title insurance topics, including energy projects, litigation, and mechanic’s lien coverage during construction.

Andrew is currently a member of the New England Land Title Association and was a frequent presenter on mechanic’s lien statutes and title coverage around New England.

In addition to his extensive industry experience and expertise, Andrew holds a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School and is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
