Carrie B. Cote serves as Maine and New Hampshire Senior Underwriting Counsel for First American Title Insurance Company. She joined First American Title in January of 2014 and has more than 20 years of experience in large and small bank regulatory compliance, real estate law, and legislative consulting. Carrie graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and biology and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maine, School of Law.

Carrie is a member of the Maine State Bar Association (MSBA), the Maine Association of Mortgage Professionals (MAMP), Maine Real Estate and Development Association (MEREDA), the New England Land Title Association (NELTA) and the American Land Title Association (ALTA). Carrie currently serves as Vice Chair of the Real Estate Section of the MSBA and the Chair of the Title Standards Subcommittee. In recent years, she acted as an adjunct professor teaching the Real Estate Transactions class for second and third year law students at the University of Maine School of Law.
