Authorized Agent Program
The First American Authorized Agent Program supports lenders in selecting and managing their third-party title and settlement providers.
While it doesn't replace a lender's own due diligence process, we believe knowing that a title agent has been vetted and approved as an authorized First American Policy-Issuing Agent is a useful consideration in the selection of settlement agents.
First American provides its Policy-Issuing Agents, and/or mortgage lenders, two types of letters: an agent verification letter and the authorized agent program overview. These letters may be obtained by contacting a First American Policy-Issuing Agent directly or by contacting the First American Agency Service Center at 866.701.3361.
