A knowledgeable and customer-focused title professional with over nine years of legal and title industry experience, Vanessa leads the Louisiana Underwriting team in providing agents with highly responsive underwriting assistance for commercial and residential transactions. You can count on her to provide you with the highest level of personalized customer service that ensures peace of mind for homebuyers and sellers and the professionals that serve them.

Vanessa joined the First American family in 2016 as Associate Underwriting Counsel and most recently served as Underwriting Counsel. She gained valuable experience in private practice as an attorney for a title agency where she reviewed contracts and title searches, provided title opinions, prepared legal documents and conducted closings. Her expertise and problem-solving ability assist our agents in facilitating transactions in the fast-paced, demanding and deadline-sensitive residential and commercial real estate environment.

Vanessa graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelor of Business Administration and received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University College of Law.  She is a member of the Legislative Committee of the Louisiana Land Title Association (LLTA) and serves on the board of the New Orleans chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).  Vanessa is also a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Title Attorneys (NOMATA) and serves as the Forms and Rates committee chairman of the Louisiana Title Statistical Services Organization, Inc. (LATISSO).
